Axi Legal values careful handling of personal data. This privacy statement explains which data we process, why, and what rights you have.
When you use our services, we process the following categories of personal data:
Contact details: name, email address, telephone number, company name
The content of uploaded documents, which may include names, signatures or other personal data in contracts
Communication data (email, form messages)
Invoicing and payment data
We process personal data to perform the agreement, to comply with legal obligations and, where applicable, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing services.
Contract documents are deleted no later than 30 days after delivery of the relevant review, unless longer retention is necessary due to a legal obligation, an ongoing dispute or a written agreement with the client. Reports, invoices and administrative data may be retained longer for administration, evidence and statutory retention obligations (typically 7 years for financial records).
We do not share personal data with third parties, except where necessary for hosting, payment processing, the use of AI tools and the processing of contact forms via our form service. Appropriate arrangements are made with all processors. Client documents are not used for public AI model training. Newsletter form data is only processed if you have given explicit consent.
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection. You can send requests to contact@axilegal.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
Insofar as Axi Legal processes personal data on behalf of a business client within the meaning of the GDPR when providing the services, the data processing terms set out in Appendix 1 to our general terms apply. These data processing terms form part of the agreement with the client and are accepted when placing the order or paying for the Contract Risk Scan. A copy of the data processing terms can be sent separately on request.
We reserve the right to amend this privacy statement. The most current version is always available at axilegal.com.
This is an English translation for convenience. In case of conflict between the Dutch and English version, the Dutch version prevails.
