Fractional legal support

Legal help on hand.
Without hiring in-house.

Contracts pile up, a GDPR question lands on your desk, a client sends their own terms — and there is no one to put it to. A full-time lawyer is too much. Paying an hourly rate every time is too expensive. Fractional legal support sits in between.

Sound familiar?

When does fractional legal support make sense?

Fractional legal support is meant for companies where legal work runs alongside the business structurally, but not enough to justify an in-house lawyer.

Contracts arrive every month

Suppliers, clients, partners. They get signed because there is no time to read them properly — and no one knows exactly what was agreed.

Legal questions keep piling up

Small questions no one dares answer, and that feel too minor to call a lawyer about. They linger until they are no longer small.

Hourly rates hold you back

You do not call, because every question costs money. So you ask nothing precisely when it matters most.

You are growing faster than your paperwork

Templates are missing, agreements live in email threads, data processing agreements were never completed. It works — until someone asks.

A full-time lawyer is too much

An in-house counsel costs many times more and would have too little to do at your volume. But having nothing is not an option either.

You want one point of contact

Someone who knows your business and your contracts, and does not need to be brought up to speed every time.

How it works

Ongoing access to your own legal counsel.

No time sheets and no open-ended bill. Business is built on unrestricted access and knowledge of your business — not a number of requests.

1

You get in touch

A defined question or your legal documents within the agreed scope. By email, whenever it suits you.

2

We review and validate

AI performs the analysis; an experienced legal counsel checks every result before you receive it. The review is always human.

3

You get a usable answer

Within two business days on business days as standard. Not a legal essay, but what you need to do with it.

Straight answer

What falls outside scope?

For all support packages. If your question falls outside, you hear so immediately — and where possible, who to turn to instead.

Dismissal proceedings
Sick leave and reintegration cases
Collective labour agreement matters
Tax advice
Notarial work

Axi Legal is not a law firm. We do not perform work that by law may only be carried out by an advocate or civil-law notary, and we do not act as a representative in legal proceedings. Where assistance or representation by an advocate is required for proceedings, we will refer you on.

Who you get on the line

Someone who has sat on the other side of the table.

Fractional legal support only works if the person answering understands your business, not just the law.

In-house counsel, not a firm lawyer

Your questions are answered by someone who has been responsible for legal decision-making inside a company — not from a law firm.

Commercial background

A combined CFO and General Counsel role means a contract is weighed on money and risk too, not only on legal purity.

International practice

Experience in tax law at EY and with structures across dozens of countries. Cross-border contracts are not the exception.

Human review on every answer

AI speeds up the analysis. The judgement and the conclusion are always human. You receive nothing that has not been read.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about fractional legal support

Business is ongoing access to your own legal counsel within the agreed scope for one legal entity — not a fixed number of requests. You can bring your legal questions and documents whenever it suits you. For structural or project work beyond regular support, Fractional Legal Counsel is the better fit.
Business suits companies that want ongoing legal support: unrestricted access to your own legal counsel, who knows your business. It sells on access and availability, not on a number of requests, response within 24 hours, a broader scope and a monthly review call. Partner is for tailored volume and scope, with a dedicated point of contact.
Business can be cancelled monthly. Fractional Legal Counsel is arranged separately on a tailored basis.
Dismissal proceedings, sick leave and reintegration cases, collective labour agreement matters, tax advice and notarial work fall outside all support packages. If a question falls outside, you hear so immediately.
